Now there’s an app for this!
Australia’s number one automotive classified business carsales.com Ltd has gone glossy with the launch of a fully-featured iPad automotive ‘magazine’. A key launch product of carsales’ new motoring.com.au editorial brand, the first edition of the motoring iPad app went live at Apple’s App Store on Friday, July 1 to correspond with the opening of the Australian International Motor Show (AIMS).
The app features a review and video of Lamborghini’s latest supercar, Aventador, as well as a unique three-vehicle 4x4 comparison test and other exclusive content. It is free for all users to download.
The motoring.com.au iPad app presents the content via a cutting-edge platform including large format imagery, video and other rich media. There’s also hidden content to keep readers on their toes.
The launch of carsales’ motoring.com.au editorial brand and website was announced to media and industry last week. However, it was the launch of the motoring.com.au app that has grabbed attention both from within and outside automotive ranks.
“The motoring.com.au iPad app is an important step in the evolution of carsales.com Ltd content portfolio,” carsales.com Ltd Editor-in-Chief Mike Sinclair stated.
“With motoring.com.au as a whole we’re spotlighting carsales’ our new car and editorial strength and delivering consumers a wider range of information via two distinct formats: tablet with offline functionality and the motoring.com.au website.”
“It’s the app though that’s grabbing most of the attention,” Sinclair stated.
“The content is unique and compelling, the images are presented in beautiful high resolution and the whole experience is incredibly engaging. The iPad offers us a chance to present our editorial content in a truly interactive manner,” he said.
In addition to the new motoring iPad app and motoring.com.au website, the motoring.com.au brand will ‘power’ editorial content across the carsales network of automotive websites.
“As well as the App Store you will see the motoring brand at key touchpoints in Australia’s leading automotive websites including carsales.com.au and CarPoint.com.au,” Sinclair stated.
carsales.com Ltd’s network of automotive websites is Australia’s largest. It has featured editorial content almost since its inception and this editorial content alone accounts for a significant proportion of the millions of unique visitors the carsales network attracts every month. motoring.com.au will champion the substantial library of carsales’ existing editorial content and expand upon it.
“If you like cars, you’ll love this app” said Anthony Saines, carsales.com Ltd Advertising Director.
“carsales has always focussed on delivering the best possible consumer and advertiser experience across different platforms and motoring.com.au is another step in this evolution,” Saines stated.
Issue 1 of the motoring.com.au app is now available for download free of charge at the App Store.
